PHARMACIES

In addition to providing free-of-cost medicines to underprivileged patients, HOPES also serves as a blessing in disguise to white collar community through three subsidized Pharmacies, situated at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Dental OPD (KMDC) and Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) and cater to more than 1500 patients daily.

ASH Pharmacy

The ASH Pharmacy is located at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital adjacent to the TRAUMA CENTRE. It caters to more than 800 patients in a single day. The medicines are provided at a cheaper rate than the retail stores to provide maximum benefits to patients.

Patients are also provided with free-of-cost medicines on the basis of their financial status. They are judged on the basis of their need or willingness i.e. whether they can afford the dental/medical treatment, medicines or injections.

KHID Pharmacy

A lesser known HOPES Pharmacy is located at Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) in Dastagir. It's a small pharmacy and caters to almost 500 patients every day. The KIHD Pharmacy is open 24/7 and has around 5 employees in 3 shifts.

The doctors at KIHD, who are familiar with HOPES, refer the patients to the Pharmacy and they are then counseled by the in-charge present there. The medicines are provided free of cost to the needy patients and on low prices, as compared to the market, to regular patients.
