Ever seen someone so anxious, running here and there because his loved one is on death bed? Dying because the distressed is unable to arrange the medicines, unable to provide for the patient basic diagnostic tests?
Such and many other similar situations were witnessed almost every day at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The very first batch of doctors, students of Karachi Medical And Dental College strived for a platform where they could help those unprivileged people of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and became successful in establishing “ HOPES- Lifeline For Poor ”.
HOPES – Help Of Patients In Exigency By Students
HOPES is a Non-government Non-political organisation that was established by students of Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) with the hope that one day it would grow and will be able to serve humanity on a significant scale.
The functional operations of HOPES are very simple, highly dedicated student-volunteers of KMDC and selected ambassadors from other institutes collect funds, zakat, and donations, and use them according to the shariah laws for those in need!
