1st HOPES Health Expo

FIRST HEALTH EXPO

On the 24th of January 2016, history was created when the volunteers of HOPES organized the first ever HOPES Health Expo; the first such event in Pakistan organized by a student-run NGO. These volunteers were all medical students with little or zero knowledge of putting together an event on such a huge scale, but they had a vision which drove them to work hard and do their best to turn it into a reality. After months of hard work, the event turned out to be a success, with over 9,000 people in attendance.

The expo included free check-ups and screenings for various diseases such as Hepatitis, Sugar, CBC, etc. Clinics of various departments providing awareness, seminars by some of the renowned professors, and life coaches were also featured. A large number of NGOs from Karachi also put up stalls informing the public about their work.
